[Sources say Hezbollah has ceased fire, but Israeli forces continue airstrikes in Lebanon] On August 8th local time, sources close to Hezbollah in Lebanon stated that Hezbollah ceased its artillery fire against Israeli forces in northern Israel and Lebanon in the early hours of the day. This cessation of attacks was part of the temporary ceasefire agreement previously announced by the United States and Iran. The sources also indicated that, however, Israel continued airstrikes on southern Lebanon and issued a new emergency evacuation order for a southern city, suggesting that Israel plans further attacks on Lebanon.
