[Bimco: Shipping Industry Awaits Technical Details from US and Iran on How to Safely Pass Through the Strait of Hormuz] ⑴ “The shipping industry is currently awaiting technical details from the United States and Iran on how to safely pass through the Strait of Hormuz,” said Jakob Larsen, Chief Safety and Security Officer of the Baltic Council for International Shipping (Bimco). ⑵ He stated, “Leaving the Persian Gulf without prior coordination from the United States and Iran would pose a higher risk and is therefore not recommended,” adding that such an evacuation could create navigational risks.
