[Ust-Luga Resumes Exports, Oil Market Faces Turning Point, Drones Still Looming] ⑴ Despite ongoing drone attacks, the Russian Baltic hub port of Ust-Luga has resumed oil exports. A tanker named Jewel, carrying 700,000 barrels of crude oil, departed on Tuesday. The port has a daily loading capacity of 700,000 barrels. ⑵ Previously, the port had suspended loading for nearly two weeks due to severe damage on March 25. After tankers began loading over the weekend, they were unable to depart immediately due to the threat of further attacks. At least one tanker was loading on Wednesday, and further delays are possible. ⑶ The Ukrainian military confirmed the attack on the port on Tuesday. Meanwhile, crude oil exports from the Seskalis terminal at the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk were also suspended this week due to drone attacks. ⑷ The continuous supply disruptions have triggered a repricing of the energy supply chain stability in the market, with trading sentiment shifting towards risk aversion. Any new news of attacks could amplify price volatility. The actual recovery pace of shipping volumes along the Black Sea and Baltic Sea export routes needs close monitoring.
