[Moldova Poll: Over 70% Support Direct Dialogue with Russia to Lower Energy Prices] (1) A poll by the Moldovan IMAS social survey company shows that the vast majority of Moldovans support direct dialogue with Russia to lower energy prices. (2) 71% of respondents favor direct negotiations between Chisinau and Moscow on the supply of natural gas and oil products; 70% support dialogue between the EU and Russia to obtain cheaper resources. (3) One-third of supporters of the ruling party, Action and Solidarity, also support resuming dialogue between Moldovans and Russia. Among citizens who advocate negotiations with Moscow, one-quarter expect President Maya Sandou to take this step personally.
