[Israeli Military Claims Paratrooper Brigade Expands Ground Operations in Southern Lebanon] The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement today (April 9) stating that over the past week, a paratrooper brigade belonging to the 98th Division has expanded its targeted ground military operations in southern Lebanon. The IDF stated that the brigade has established operational control in the relevant areas and continues to strike Hezbollah infrastructure to strengthen forward defenses. The statement said that during one operation, IDF forces killed dozens of Hezbollah militants and discovered and seized a cache of weapons and equipment, including firearms, magazines, and concealed explosive devices.
