[China Passenger Car Association: Lithium Battery Exports Reached $14.2 Billion in January-February 2026, Up 46% Year-on-Year] ⑴ Data from the China Passenger Car Association shows that lithium battery exports reached $14.2 billion in January-February 2026, an increase of 46%. The export volume during the same period was 926,000 tons. ⑵ In terms of average export price, it was $27,300/ton in 2023, decreased to $20,100/ton in 2024, further decreased to $15,700/ton in 2025, and reached $15,300/ton in January-February 2026. The decrease in 2026 was 10%, a significant improvement compared to the 26% decrease in 2024 and the 22% decrease in 2025. ⑶ In terms of market structure, the EU is the main market for Chinese lithium battery exports, accounting for 43.1% of demand, an increase of 2.6 percentage points compared to 2025. Exports to the US shrank sharply to 9.7%, a decrease of 6.4 percentage points compared to 2025. The decline in exports to the US is equivalent to the total scale of Southeast Asia, the third largest export market.
