[EU: Israeli Attacks on Lebanon Pressure US-Iran Ceasefire] On March 9th local time, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kallas stated regarding the Lebanon-Israel situation that recent Israeli airstrikes, which have killed hundreds, make it difficult to view such actions as legitimate self-defense. Kallas said that the military actions are putting serious pressure on the ceasefire agreement reached between the US and Iran, and called for the ceasefire to be extended to Lebanon. Following the ceasefire between Iran and the US, both the US and Israel stated that Lebanon was not included in the temporary US-Iran ceasefire. On March 8th, Israel launched a large-scale airstrike on Lebanon. According to the Lebanese Civil Defense, the airstrikes have caused at least 254 deaths. (CCTV News)
