[Lebanese Prime Minister Orders Army and Security Forces to Strengthen Deployment in Beirut] Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam announced after a cabinet meeting on August 9 that he had ordered the Lebanese army and security forces to strengthen their deployment in the capital, Beirut, to expand state control over the capital and ensure absolute state control over weapons.
