The First Working Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) was held in Xiamen, Fujian Province, on April 8. Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy Representative for International Trade Negotiations, Zhao Zenglian, Vice Governor of Fujian Province, and Wu Bin, Mayor of Xiamen, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Representatives from relevant departments and member units of the CIFIT preparatory working group reported on their work progress and offered suggestions. The 26th CIFIT will be held in Xiamen from September 8 to 11, 2026. This year's CIFIT will thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter to the 25th CIFIT and his series of important speeches on expanding opening-up. Focusing on the theme of promoting two-way investment, and centering on the three major sections of "Investing in China," "Chinese Investment," and "International Investment," the CIFIT will meticulously plan professional exhibitions and a series of investment promotion activities in accordance with the principles of specialization, internationalization, and digitalization, continuously enhancing its international influence and investment effectiveness, and playing a positive role in promoting the construction of an open world economy.
