[Thai Cabinet Decides to Cancel 60-Day Visa-Free Policy] According to Thai media reports on the 19th, the Thai cabinet approved the cancellation of the 60-day visa-free entry policy for citizens of more than 90 countries, reverting to the previous entry standards. Thai Minister of Tourism and Sports, Surasak Pancharoen Worakorn, stated on the 19th that the cabinet meeting had decided to restore the original visa-free policy for more than 90 countries, typically allowing visa-free entry for approximately 30 days. The Visa Policy Committee will subsequently conduct individual reviews for each country, considering security and economic factors to formulate new visa-free policies. On July 15, 2024, the Thai government announced an extension of the visa-free entry period for citizens of 93 countries and regions, including China (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan), for tourism, business activities, and emergency or temporary work, with a single stay not exceeding 60 days.
