[Iranian Revolutionary Guard: 35 More Ships Passed Through the Strait of Hormuz in the Past 24 Hours with Coordination] ⑴ The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy issued a statement on Friday stating that in the past 24 hours, 35 more ships, including oil tankers, container ships, and merchant vessels, passed through the Strait of Hormuz with the coordination and protection of its forces. ⑵ The IRGC stated that despite the insecurity caused by the US and Israeli military "aggression" against Iran, its forces have successfully maintained a safe passage for ships and the continuation of global trade. According to IRGC Navy data, 26 ships passed through in the 24 hours ending Wednesday, and 31 ships passed through on Thursday. ⑶ The IRGC emphasized that all ships must obtain coordination and approval from its forces before passing through the strait. Since the US-Israel joint strike on Iranian territory on February 28, Iran has strengthened its control over the strait, prohibiting the safe passage of ships belonging to or associated with Israel and the United States. The United States has also imposed a maritime blockade on the strait, preventing ships entering and leaving Iranian ports from passing through.
