[Iranian Parliament Speaker Appoints Spokesperson for Iran-US Negotiations] According to a report by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRNA) on May 22, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf appointed Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghae as the spokesperson for the Iranian delegation to the Iran-US negotiations. Ghalibaf stated that Baghae possesses a background in international law and experience in diplomacy, and while serving as the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, he hopes she will play a positive role in explaining Iran's position and responding to the concerns of the Iranian people. Baghae stated that the current focus of the negotiations is ending the war, and issues related to the nuclear issue will not be discussed at this stage. (CCTV International News)
