[Indian Oil Corporation: Fuel Shortage is Localized and Temporary] Indian Oil Corporation, India's largest state-owned oil refiner, issued a statement on Saturday stating that the domestic fuel shortage is only occurring at some gas stations and is clearly localized and temporary. The statement pointed out that the current shortage stems from supply imbalances in some areas and adjustments in sales distribution. It is currently harvest season, leading to a seasonal increase in diesel demand. In addition, higher prices at some privately owned gas stations have also caused consumers to temporarily switch to other stations.
