As of now, the total number of suspected and confirmed measles deaths in Bangladesh has exceeded 500. The recent spread of measles in the country is quite severe. Health authorities have warned the public to be vigilant about the risk of infection and are gradually implementing prevention and control measures such as vaccination and case screening to curb the further spread of the epidemic and reduce the probability of severe illness and death.
