According to sources familiar with the matter in the US, the core of the agreement reached between the US and Iran focuses on "ending the regional conflict." This agreement includes consistent clauses related to the May 15 ceasefire, including commitments to end hostilities in Lebanon. Israel has informed Washington that any agreement reached with Tehran must guarantee Israel's autonomy in its actions in Lebanon. Currently, the draft agreement between the US and Iran does not include provisions for disarming Hezbollah in Lebanon. The core objective of the agreement is to promote a complete end to the regional conflict. The agreement also covers the restoration of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's cessation of uranium enrichment activities.
