[US-Iran Deal Expectations Boost Asian Currencies, Singapore Dollar Leads Gains] (1) During Asian trading hours, the Singapore dollar and most Asian currencies strengthened against the US dollar, driven by optimism that the US and Iran might reach a peace agreement. (2) CIMB analysts said that Trump said the US and Iran had "largely agreed" on a memorandum of understanding, which could reopen the Strait of Hormuz. (3) The US dollar fell 0.2% against the Singapore dollar to 1.2764, 0.7% against the Thai baht to 32.43, and 0.4% against the Malaysian ringgit to 3.9480.
