Japanese Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Ryomasa Akazawa stated that two senior Japanese government officials are currently visiting Russia. Katsuki Arai, Director-General of the Trade Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Masami Ishikawa, Senior Advisor of the European Affairs Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, plan to meet with Russian government officials and other relevant personnel. The purpose of the visit is to promote communication and protect the assets of Japanese companies operating in Russia.
