[Xiamen Port Surpasses One Million Passengers This Year at Record Fastest Rate] According to data from the Gaoqi Border Inspection Station of the Xiamen General Station of Immigration Inspection, as of 10:00 AM on May 26, the number of passengers traveling between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait through Xiamen Port this year has exceeded one million, an increase of over 20% year-on-year, breaking the record for the fastest time to reach one million. Among them, the Xiamen-Kinmen "Mini Three Links" route has seen over 800,000 passengers, an increase of nearly 25% year-on-year, becoming the core channel for cross-strait personnel exchanges. Currently, Xiamen Port connects three direct cross-strait passenger routes, with an average of 24 round-trip ferries per day on the Xiamen-Kinmen "Mini Three Links" route. Data shows that the Gaoqi Border Inspection Station has inspected nearly 60,000 tourists from Fujian and Shanghai traveling to Kinmen this year; and over 30,000 first-time Taiwanese visitors, an increase of over 60% year-on-year.
