[Samsung becomes South Korea's most indebted conglomerate, SK falls to third] (1) South Korea's financial regulator said on Tuesday that Samsung has surpassed SK Group to become South Korea's most indebted conglomerate by the end of 2025. (2) In terms of ranking: Hyundai Motor is second, SK Group has fallen to third, Lotte is fourth, and LG is fifth. (3) Overall, a total of 42 conglomerates were identified as highly indebted companies (41 last year). As of the end of last year, these groups had outstanding bank loans of 386.9 trillion won (about US$255 billion), an increase of 4.1% over the previous year.
