[Iran Demands US Unfreeze All Frozen Assets] (1) Bagheri Qani, Deputy Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said that Tehran has demanded that Washington unfreeze all frozen Iranian assets. (2) He pointed out that the frozen assets are Iran’s legitimate property, and the US is forcibly restricting their use; Iran is committed to reclaiming its legitimate property through contact, and the US should return it in full unconditionally so that Iran can use it. (3) When asked if he was referring to $24 billion, he said “no matter the amount” and emphasized that the US should stop “seizing” Iranian property “as soon as possible.”
