【A-shares opened lower and rebounded in the morning session, with lab-grown diamonds and supercapacitors leading the gains】 (1) The three major stock indices opened lower and continued to decline in the morning session, but rebounded near midday. As of midday closing, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.14%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.26%, and the ChiNext Index rose 0.21%; the half-day turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets was 1.78 trillion yuan, a decrease of 285.4 billion yuan from the previous trading day, and more than 2,000 stocks rose across the market. (2) In terms of leading sectors, lab-grown diamonds continued to be active (Sifangda and Huanghe Whirlwind hit the daily limit); supercapacitors strengthened (Huafeng Shares, Jinshi Technology and many other stocks hit the daily limit); memory chips rebounded from the bottom (Huahong Company rose 15%, and its stock price hit a record high). Rental and sales parity, optical fiber concept, and rare earth permanent magnets were among the top gainers. (3) Among the leading decliners, liquor stocks led the decline (Jinzhongzi Liquor, Weilong Shares, and Huangtai Liquor fell by more than 5%); gold stocks declined (Hebai Group fell by more than 9%); pork stocks, dairy stocks, and innovative drugs were among the biggest losers.
