Two Russian cosmonauts completed approximately 6 hours of extravehicular activity (EVA) on the International Space Station (ISS) at approximately 11 PM Moscow time on the 27th (4 AM Beijing time on the 28th). They installed new experimental equipment on the exterior of the ISS and retrieved previously placed experimental containers. According to a statement released by Roscosmos on social media on the 27th, the other Russian cosmonaut, Andrey Fedyaev, who remained on the ISS, remotely operated the EVA robotic arm to lift Sergei Kuti-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev to the designated location to carry out the work. The two cosmonauts installed a radio telescope on the exterior of the Russian segment's Zvezda service module. This device will help investigate the mechanisms of solar flares and improve the accuracy of solar flare predictions.
