[Kosovo's Trade Deficit Widens to €576.4 Million in April, a Nine-Month High] ⑴ Kosovo's trade deficit widened sharply to €576.4 million in April from €492.3 million in the same period last year, marking the largest trade deficit since July 2025. ⑵ Imports increased by 19.2% year-on-year to €674.8 million, driven by increased purchases of organic chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and plastics and plastic products. Major import partners were Germany, Albania, and Poland. ⑶ Exports jumped 33.3% to €98.4 million during the same period, driven by increased shipments of ceramic products, steel products, and plastics and plastic products. Export growth was primarily driven by key markets such as Italy, Switzerland, and North Macedonia.
