[Ministry of Ecology and Environment: my country's First Technical Method for Evaluating the Cleanliness Index of a Gulf Released] The Ministry of Ecology and Environment recently released the "Technical Method for Evaluating the Cleanliness Index of a Gulf (Trial Implementation)," my country's first management method to standardize the quantitative assessment and grading of marine debris cleanliness. The "Technical Method" uses bays as the basic evaluation unit and employs two technical means—drone aerial photography and manual surveys and monitoring—to evaluate three core indicators: beach litter cover, beach litter density, and floating litter density. Based on these calculations, five bay cleanliness indices are derived: "Excellent," "Good," "Medium," "Poor," and "Very Poor." (CCTV News)
