[State Administration for Market Regulation Approves National Standard for Vascular Chips] It was learned today that the State Administration for Market Regulation has approved and released the recommended national standard, "General Technical Requirements for Vascular Chips." This standard will officially take effect on May 1, 2027, marking a significant step forward in the construction of my country's organ-on-a-chip standard system. The "General Technical Requirements for Vascular Chips" mainly stipulates three aspects: First, it defines the terminology for vascular chips, establishing a unified cognitive benchmark for the industry. Second, it standardizes chip appearance, cell source, component performance, and biological performance, clarifying key evaluation indicators such as biocompatibility, tissue morphology, barrier function, cell activity, and functional characterization. Third, it defines the corresponding testing methods for indicators such as light transmittance, sealing, and operating temperature tolerance, providing operational guidance for quality evaluation. This standard, together with the previously released national standard, "General Technical Requirements for Skin Chips," forms a technical synergy, jointly promoting the construction of my country's multi-organ chip standard system.
