[Spain's Current Account Surplus Expands to €4.61 Billion in March] ⑴ According to preliminary data, Spain's current account surplus expanded to €4.61 billion in March from €3.01 billion in the same period last year. ⑵ The balance of payments for goods and services recorded a surplus of €6.01 billion, a 44.3% increase from €4.17 billion in the same period last year. In contrast, the primary and secondary income deficit widened to €1.4 billion from €1.15 billion. ⑶ In the first quarter of 2026, Spain's current account balance reached €11.4 billion, a 15% increase from €9.9 billion in the same period last year.
