[US Treasury 5s-30s Spread Holds Steady at 79-80 Basis Points Low, 30-Year Yield Falls to 4.96%] ⑴ The spread between the 5-year and 30-year US Treasury yields hit a new low of 80 basis points on May 22, and after rebounding to 85.5 basis points, it stabilized again in this low range. This is the flattest level since 79 basis points in June 2025 and 74 basis points in May 2025. ⑵ The 5-year yield held steady above 4.13%, with the previous day's low near the 4.09% trendline. The 30-year yield fell to a new low of 4.96% on Thursday, following a previous low of 4.91% on May 7.
