Portugal's May CPI rose 3.3% year-on-year, unchanged from April, while core inflation was 2.2%. The Portuguese National Statistics Institute released preliminary data on Friday, showing that consumer prices rose 3.3% year-on-year in May, unchanged from April. Core inflation (excluding volatile food and energy prices) was 2.2% year-on-year, also unchanged from April. On a month-on-month basis, overall consumer prices rose 0.3% in May, a slowdown from the 1.4% increase in April.
