[French Survey Shows Widely Divided Public Attitudes Towards Artificial Intelligence] A newly released survey in France reveals that while 65% of French people use artificial intelligence (AI) tools, public attitudes towards AI are clearly divided. The survey, titled "The French and Artificial Intelligence," was released on the 12th by the Elabe polling company, and surveyed 1,503 French residents aged 18 and over. The results show a clear divide in public attitudes towards AI: 54% of respondents consider AI primarily a threat, while 45% see it primarily as an opportunity. Furthermore, there are significant generational, class, and regional differences in the proportion of AI users across different groups. Among those aged 18 to 34, the figure is 87%, compared to only 54% for those over 50; among managers, it's 86%, compared to only 56% for workers; and among residents of large cities, it's 71%, compared to only 57% for rural residents. The survey indicates that most respondents believe that using AI will become a core competency for future society and should be introduced into school education. (Xinhua)
