[Trump's Name Removed from Kennedy Center Wall] Early this morning (June 13th) local time, workers removed the name of US President Donald Trump from the exterior wall of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Shortly after Trump began his second term in January last year, he replaced the Kennedy Center's existing management and personally selected members to form a new board of directors. The new board voted last December to rename the Kennedy Center the "Trump-Kennedy Center." Following the renaming announcement, board member Joyce Beatty filed a lawsuit seeking to overturn the renaming decision and remove Trump's name. On May 29th, Judge Christopher Cooper of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled that the Kennedy Center's name could not be changed without congressional approval. On June 11th, the Trump administration and the Kennedy Center's board of directors appealed, but the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit dismissed the appeal. (CCTV)
