Bob Michele, head of global fixed income at JPMorgan Asset Management, revealed that his team has begun positioning themselves in long-term bonds in the US, Japan, and Australia. He believes that current long-term bond prices offer "very high value," and the bond market has reached its "point of greatest emotional pressure." Michele analyzed that the ongoing interest rate hikes by the European Central Bank, the Federal Reserve, and the Bank of Japan, coupled with the expected gradual stabilization of the situation in the Middle East, will all support the bond market. He also mentioned that the recent sell-off in US Treasuries has exceeded a reasonable range, and the long-term bond repurchase program launched by US Treasury Secretary Bessenter is an important positive factor in stabilizing the bond market.
