[Hainan Issues 5 Billion Yuan Offshore RMB Local Government Bonds in Hong Kong] On September 16, Hainan Province issued offshore RMB local government bonds in Hong Kong. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the Hainan Provincial Government has issued offshore RMB local government bonds in Hong Kong, and it is also the first time that offshore RMB bonds have been issued since the Hainan Free Trade Port began full-island customs clearance operations. This issuance primarily targeted investors in Asia and Europe, attracting active participation from 59 institutional investors from 8 countries and regions. It is understood that Hainan Province issued 5 billion yuan of offshore RMB local government bonds in Hong Kong, including 2.5 billion yuan with a 3-year maturity, 1.5 billion yuan with a 5-year maturity, and 1 billion yuan with a 10-year maturity, with pricing interest rates of 1.41%, 1.51%, and 1.81% respectively.
