[US DFC and DTEK Reach Agreement to Financing Battery Storage Project in Ukraine] (1) DTEK, Ukraine’s largest private energy company, said in an email statement that the US International Development Finance Corporation (IDF) has reached an agreement with the company to finance a battery storage project in Ukraine. (2) This loan is one of the largest debt financing projects the IDF has undertaken in Ukraine, and the largest financing it has made in the Ukrainian energy sector since the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. (3) DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko said in a statement: “This approval will allow DTEK to continue to invest in the storage project and strengthen energy security in the coming years.”
