[Baltic Dry Index Rises 0.3% to 3336 Points After Five-Day Losing Streak] ⑴ The Baltic Dry Index rose 0.3% to 3336 points on Thursday, ending a five-day losing streak after hitting its lowest level since September 1. ⑵ The Capesize index, typically carrying 150,000 tons of cargo (including iron ore and coal), rose 0.8% to 5656 points, partly supported by iron ore prices. ⑶ The Supramax index rose 0.8% to 1762 points during the same period. ⑷ On the other hand, the Panamax index, typically carrying 60,000 to 70,000 tons of coal or grain, fell further, declining 1.8% to 2282 points.
