International oil prices edged lower on September 17. At the close of trading, the price of light sweet crude oil futures for October delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell 52 cents to settle at $101.91 per barrel, a decrease of 0.51%; the price of Brent crude oil futures for November delivery on the London ICE Futures Exchange fell $1.01 to settle at $104.82 per barrel, a decrease of 0.95%. This slight fluctuation in oil prices did not change the overall high level of international crude oil prices. The market will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil supply and demand, production policies of major oil-producing countries, and global economic trends on oil price trends.
