International oil prices declined on September 18. By the close of trading that day, the price of light sweet crude oil futures for October delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell $1.61 to settle at $100.30 per barrel, a drop of 1.58%; the price of Brent crude oil futures for November delivery on the London ICE Futures Exchange fell 95 cents to settle at $103.87 per barrel, a drop of 0.91%. This slight decline in oil prices has further increased market attention to the future supply and demand trends of crude oil.
