[ASML Executive Warns: No Investment in Chip Manufacturing in Europe, Zero Sales for ASML, Risking Being Left Behind] (1) An executive at ASML Holding NV, Europe’s largest company by market capitalization, said the company has not sold any chip manufacturing equipment in the continent. (2) He warned that Europe risks being left behind as the US and India invest heavily in developing their domestic semiconductor industries. (3) “We have absolutely no sales in Europe,” said Frank Heimsk, ASML’s executive vice president in charge of global public affairs, at an event in Amsterdam on Monday evening. (4) He said this is because Europe has not invested in or built chip factories there.
