[Iranian Foreign Minister Proposes Negotiation Prerequisites: Lift Oil Export Restrictions and Unfreeze All Frozen Funds] (1) Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi said on Saturday that Iran demands the lifting of oil export restrictions and the unfreezing of all frozen Iranian funds, including those held in Qatari accounts; he listed a series of conditions, saying that only if these conditions are met can negotiations proceed. (2) In an interview with Al Jazeera, Araqchi said the conditions include: lifting sanctions imposed after the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum, reducing the number of US troops stationed in the region, lifting oil export restrictions again, and unfreezing all frozen funds, including those held in Qatari accounts. (3) He also stated that Tehran demands recognition of the Strait of Hormuz route, jointly determined by Iranian and Omani authorities, as the only permitted route, and demands "an end to all wars in the region," including the conflict in Lebanon.
