[565 Arrested in New Round of Large-Scale Demonstrations in France] On October 31, local time, France experienced its third nationwide large-scale protest in nearly three weeks. According to the French Ministry of the Interior, as of 9 PM on the 31st, 565 people were arrested by police during the nationwide demonstrations. The Ministry of the Interior also estimated that approximately 320,000 people participated in the demonstrations nationwide that day. Earlier that day, the Ministry of the Interior stated that in cities such as Bordeaux, Toulouse, and Lille, some demonstrators attempted to enter city centers to commit vandalism and looting, but were prevented by police.
