[Thailand's Manufacturing PMI Hits 10-Month High] In October 2026, Thailand's S&P Global Manufacturing PMI rose to 54.8 from 54.3 in the previous month, reaching its highest level since December 2025, indicating continued improvement in demand. New orders growth was among the fastest on record, supported by an expanding customer base and successful promotional activities. To cope with stronger production demand and inventory replenishment needs, manufacturers increased purchasing activity at the fastest pace since August 2024. However, backlogs accumulated at the fastest rate in nearly a year, due to increased workloads coupled with reduced labor productivity from employee resignations. On the price front, input costs rose slightly, reflecting higher raw material prices. Meanwhile, manufacturers largely maintained selling prices to support sales. Finally, business confidence remained positive in October, with companies maintaining strong expectations for output growth over the next 12 months.
