[Russia issues three-month export ban on petrochemical products to ensure domestic industrial supply] (1) The Russian government has issued a three-month export ban, prohibiting the export of certain petrochemical products to regions outside the Eurasian Economic Union, in order to ensure domestic industrial supply. (2) Restricted products include coal tar and petroleum-based benzene, toluene, o-xylene, p-xylene, and phenol; these products are used in the automotive, aviation, shipbuilding, railway, packaging, flooring materials, cable insulation, and medical products industries. (3) The ban does not apply to international transit goods, humanitarian goods, or goods supplied to Russian institutions in Svalbard.
