[Russia Temporarily Bans Exports of Six Petrochemical Products to Regions Outside the Eurasian Economic Union] The Russian Federal Government website announced on November 2nd a temporary ban on the export of six petrochemical products from Russia to regions outside the Eurasian Economic Union, aiming to ensure a stable supply of raw materials for Russian domestic industrial enterprises. The ban will last for three months and covers products including coking benzene, petroleum benzene, toluene, o-xylene, p-xylene, and phenol. These products are used in coatings for automobile, aviation, shipbuilding, and railway machinery manufacturing; food packaging; flooring materials; and cable insulation materials; and are also used in the medical industry. The ban does not apply to petrochemical products in international transit, international humanitarian aid supplies, or supplies to Russian institutions in Svalbard. (CCTV News)
