[Greece's October Manufacturing PMI Falls to 53.3, Expansion Slows] ⑴ Greece's S&P Global Manufacturing PMI fell to 53.3 in October 2026 from 54.0 in September, marking the second consecutive monthly decline, but remained firmly in expansion territory. ⑵ Output, new orders, and employment continued to grow against a backdrop of improving market conditions, with output recording its strongest growth since July. ⑶ However, the growth rate of new orders slowed to its weakest level since May. ⑷ Disruptions related to the Middle East conflict continued to weigh on the sector, with supply chains under pressure and rising transportation costs leading to widespread delays in input delivery. ⑸ Meanwhile, declining warehouse inventories and stronger output drove backlogs down for the second consecutive month. ⑹ Employment growth also boosted production capacity. ⑹ Despite continued expansion, price pressures remained high. ⑺ Subsequently, confidence in the future outlook deteriorated, falling to a five-month low.
