[Eurozone Manufacturing PMI Slightly Declines to 52.7 in October, Expansion Remains Robust] ⑴ The Eurozone S&P Global Manufacturing PMI for October 2026 slightly declined to 52.7 from a four-year high of 52.9 in September, but remained slightly above the preliminary reading of 52.4, indicating continued expansion in the manufacturing sector. ⑵ Output growth slowed to a four-month low, but remained robust overall. ⑶ Total new business growth slowed, employment continued to grow, and purchasing activity expanded at its fastest pace since May 2022. ⑷ Manufacturers increased inventory build-up at its largest pace in nearly four years due to longer supplier lead times and accelerating input cost inflation. ⑸ Input prices rose at their fastest pace since May, prompting manufacturers to significantly raise selling prices, although the increase was roughly the same as in September. ⑹ Meanwhile, business confidence remained in positive territory but weakened further, falling below its long-term average.
