[Oil Price Decline Drags Down Norwegian Krone] ⑴ The Norwegian krone fell along with oil prices as markets were optimistic about diplomatic efforts to end the conflict between the United States and Iran. ⑵ US President Trump said over the weekend that negotiations with Iran to end the war were progressing well, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US was open to a diplomatic solution. ⑶ Brent crude fell more than 4% to $108.61 a barrel. ⑷ The Norwegian krone has a strong positive correlation with oil prices because Norway is a major oil and gas producer.
