[Palm Oil Futures Close Lower as Crude Oil Weakness Drags Down Prices] ⑴ Palm oil futures closed lower, following the decline in crude oil prices, which reduced the attractiveness of palm oil as a feedstock for biodiesel. ⑵ Analysts at Kenanga Futures stated in a report that market sentiment remained cautious amid expectations of increased inventories in October and uncertainty surrounding a possible export tax exemption for Malaysia. ⑶ The firm set support and resistance levels for the January futures contract at 4630 ringgit and 4750 ringgit, respectively.
