[Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Chief Warns of Weakening Global Energy Supply Buffers] ⑴ In his opening remarks at ADIPEC 2026 in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Chief Al Jaber stated that global crude oil inventories have decreased by nearly 1 billion barrels since the supply disruptions began. ⑵ He noted that diesel inventories in some markets have fallen to their lowest levels in 35 years and warned of a 600 billion cubic foot liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply gap in some markets, exposing weaknesses in the global energy supply chain. ⑶ He stated that the world has eroded its own supply buffers.
