[Global Official Gold Reserves Surge 41% Year-on-Year in Q3] ⑴ The World Gold Council released its Q3 "Global Gold Demand Trends" report on November 3rd, showing that global central banks and official institutions net purchased 312 tons of gold in the quarter, a 41% increase year-on-year, marking the highest single-quarter increase since Q4 2024. ⑵ Reserve diversification and exchange rate/risk hedging remain the core logic behind central banks' continued gold allocation. ⑶ In the first three quarters of 2026, global official institutions purchased a total of 658 tons of gold, a slight increase compared to the same period last year. ⑷ Market View: Continued official buying provides bottom support for gold prices, but it is difficult to offset the upward constraint brought about by high real interest rates.
