[Turkey's Trade Deficit Narrows to $6.7 Billion in October, Exports Up 8.1%] ⑴ Preliminary data shows that Turkey's trade deficit narrowed to $6.7 billion in October 2026 from $7.6 billion in the same period last year, but it is still the largest deficit in three months. ⑵ Exports increased by 8.1% year-on-year to $25.9 billion, supported by increased sales of raw materials ($13.4 billion), consumer goods ($8.4 billion), and capital goods ($3.9 billion). ⑶ From January to October, the trade deficit widened to $77.7 billion from $74.7 billion in the same period last year, with exports increasing by 5.5% and imports by 5.1% during the same period.
