[Jordan's Producer Prices Rise 5.41% Year-on-Year in September, Hitting a Four-Month High] ⑴ Jordan's producer prices rose 5.41% year-on-year in September 2026, accelerating from 3.47% in August and reaching the highest level since May. ⑵ Looking at the sub-categories, the increase was mainly driven by a faster rise in manufacturing prices (5.60%, compared to 3.71% in August), with significant increases in coke and refined petroleum products (49.1%, compared to 33.67% in August) and metal products excluding machinery and equipment (4.23%, compared to 0.38% in August). ⑶ The price increase in the mining and quarrying industry also accelerated (6.46%, compared to 1.50% in August), while the supply prices of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning rose slightly (1.78%, compared to 1.74% in August). ⑷ On a month-on-month basis, the producer price index rose 0.92% in September, reversing the 0.61% decline in August and returning to positive growth after three consecutive months of contraction.
